I had been playing guitar for years and had always been struggling with finding my way around the neckboard and understanding theory on the guitar. After seeing a few of Josh's videos on youtube and getting really into Victoria I decided to reach out to him for some lessons. I'm extremely grateful that I did as well. Josh was able to help me connect the dots between the more technical music I frequently try to learn on my own, with a lot of the foundational elements of guitar that I missed early on. He did this all in a way that was extremely clear, non-judgemental and approachable. Over the course of our lessons we cover the whole spectrum of making music, from guitar technique, production, song breakdowns, practice methodology and even some of the more philosophical aspects of what it means to make music as an artform. Every lesson has been a goldmine of knowledge and inspiration. Even though I feel like I still have so much more to learn, I know I'll be able to rely on Josh to help me with any obstacle I'll come across on that journey.

Josh is the rare teacher who makes things click. His lessons are clear, intuitive, and wildly creative, each one pushes my technique forward while expanding my love for the guitar and musicality.

Josh is an outstanding guitarist and teacher. He is very adaptable so every lesson is able to cater to my goals rather than having a preset curriculum we are following. This has been so valuable to me as someone who is unable to sit down and learn through a conventional book method at this stage in life. What really sets Josh apart is his wide range of expertise - from technique, different genres, and music theory to tone shaping and sound design. He has an impressive ability to quickly learn songs and riffs I bring in (no matter the difficulty) and break them down in a way that makes them immediately approachable and playable. This allows each lesson to be packed with value as we can discuss a riff, practice it and move on to another topic seamlessly. I absolutely recommend that anyone trying to get better at guitar try lessons with Josh!
